2015 Nissan Murano

J.D. Power just came out with their 2015 U.S. APEAL (automotive, performance, execution, layout) study and Nissan are among the most appealing vehicles to own and drive. Three Nissan models were honored – the Nissan Murano, which just received a complete redesign for 2015, the Nissan Altima and the Nissan Frontier.

J.D. Power has been conducting the study annually for 20 years and gathers its information directly from those who have purchased or leased vehicles. The study considers 77 distinct factors relating to customer satisfaction with the vehicles they’ve purchased.

Nissan Murano takes the Checkered Flag

The Nissan Murano has the distinction of being named number one in the midsize SUV category, with scores that set itself apart from the pack. What’s more, it came in an impressive second place among all vehicles when it comes to overall improvements over the 2014 model.

The design overhaul has paid off big time for Nissan. Murano sales are up a whopping 40 percent from the 2014 model – and obviously, customers are loving what they’ve bought. Customers gave the Murano 853 out of a possible 1,000 points, putting a full 35 points between Murano and the runner up in the Medium Pickup category.

How the Nissans Finished so Strong

Ultimately, any survey like this is somewhat subjective. Customers like – and don’t like – for any number of reasons. One of the things that consistently helped Nissan in the study was our commitment to your safety. Survey participants repeatedly cited safety features like our parking assist, blind spot warning and other Nissan safety features as items that improved their overall satisfaction.

Styling was also important. According to Fred Diaz, Nissan’s North American Sr. Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the interior and exterior styling of the all new Murano was also a major factor in pushing it to the front of the pack in its category.

Come See what Owners Already Know

We’re not saying you should take J.D. Power’s word for it, or even the word of those who are already clearly satisfied with Nissan’s lineup. Ultimately, there’s only one way to know what you think about a car or pickup – come drive one for yourself.
